All percentage values are given as w/w.
Total vitamin/mineral mix is 3.5%. Note that due to varying moisture and nitrogen free extract (polysaccharide) content (not given in original papers), rows may not sum to 100%. Abbreviations: SH, Southampton low protein diet; SHC, Southampton control diet; HF, Hope Farm low protein diet; HFC, Hope Farm control diet. Other diets are referred to by the percentage of protein where C denotes control and LP denotes the low protein diet. Note that although vitamin and mineral pre-mixes vary subtly, all are similar to the AIN-76 formulation.
