The sah1L459F mutation reduces non-CG methylation on transposon sequences, similarly to suvh4 and cmt3 mutations. Genomic DNA prepared from 4-week-old plants of the indicated genotypes was cleaved with the indicated restriction enzymes and used for Southern blot analysis with the indicated probes.
