The analysis was performed on polymorphic and synonymous sites and on different parts of the sequence (coding sequence of exons 2–9, exons 2–5, exons 6–9). Only polymorphic sites that have a frequency >10% were included in the analysis. The significance of r was determined on the basis of 5000 random permutations of polymorphic sites.
