Dichoptic presentation of two different lightness records of multicolored stimuli, using 644-nm and 504-nm narrow-band filters in front of each eye. In this experiment, the two lightness records of the stimuli are combined after the convergence of the two monocularly driven parts of the visual system. Therefore, any interaction between the input and the two eyes must take place at higher, binocularly driven visual areas.
