Total RNA was probed with the full-length NtC7 cDNA, and transcript size was estimated from the migration position of marker RNAs (M) stained with ethidium bromide (EtBr) and signals because of cross hybridization. C, Southern-blot analysis. Genomic DNA (20 μg per lane) was digested with the indicated restriction endonuclease, separated on an agarose gel, blotted, and probed with a radioactively labeled NtC7 fragment.
