Stability of the internal conformation of VP1u in native capsids. B19 capsids were subjected to freeze-thaw cycles (2 and 10) or to a long period of storage (10 weeks) at 4°C. (A) Capsids were immunoprecipitated with MAb 1418-1 (V; against VP1u) or 860-55D (C; against intact capsids).
