Induction of mouse BSP promoter activity by RORα. Ros17/2.8 cells were transfected with parent expression vector (Ctr) or expression vector for RORα (ROR) together with a luciferase reporter gene. The reporter gene was driven by a 2,500-bp promoter fragment of the mouse BSP gene (BSP-luc). Luciferase activity was assayed in cells from 6-well plates and related to the activity in cells transfected with an empty expression plasmid. The results were normalized to the protein content. Shown are the mean ± SD of three experiments, each carried out with three independent triplicate analyses.
