Bactericidal effect over bacterial biofilm. Mature biofilms were incubated overnight in the presence of sucrose and 140 μg/ml (∼100 μM) peptide. Following incubation, samples were stained for live (green)/dead (red) bacteria and observed with confocal laser scanning microscopy, recording cross sections into the depth of the biofilm.
