Overexpression of Skp1p suppresses Rav1p toxicity. (A and B) CRY1 cells (wild type) were transformed with a YEp13 plasmid (2μm plasmid marked by LEU2), and EBY23 cells (integrated GAL.RAV1) were transformed with either the YEp13 plasmid or one of the isolated YEp13 library plasmids containing SKP1 (YEp13-SKP1, “2μ SKP1” in figure). Cells were grown on YPD (glucose) or YPG (galactose) to demonstrate that Skp1p is a multicopy suppressor of Rav1p overexpression.
