In vitro-coupled activity of recombinant NtLOX1 and NtDES1. Soluble protein extracts prepared from E. coli transformed with pGEX-5X-3 (GST) as control, pT7-NtLOX1 (LOX), or pGEX-NtDES1 (DES) were incubated alone or in combination with LA or LnA. Reaction products were extracted and separated by TLC and compared to CA and CnA standards. Oxylipins and fatty acids were stained with iodine.
