Suc induces membrane depolarization in AtSUC9-expressing oocytes. Membrane potential was recorded using an oocyte impaled with a single electrode, referenced against the bath electrodes. Membrane depolarization was observed when the oocyte was perfused with sodium Ringer solution at pH 5.6 containing Suc at the indicated concentrations.
