Figure 5

Effects of SNP and 8-Br-cyclic GMP on the time-course changes in [3H]-choline release induced by electrical field stimulation (EFS) of rat pancreatic segments. EFS (20 Hz, 50 V, 1 ms) was applied to [3H]-choline preloaded segments in the absence (control) or presence of either SNP (1×10−3M) or 8-Br-cyclic GMP (1×10−4M). The horizontal bars denote the duration of the EFS stimulation and the perfusion with either SNP or 8-Br-cyclic GMP. Each point represents the mean±s.e.mean of six experiments. *P<0.05 for control compared with SNP; #P<0.05 for control compared with 8-Br-cyclic GMP; **P<0.05 for control compared with both SNP and 8-Br-cyclic GMP; §P<0.05 for SNP compared with 8-Br-cyclic GMP.
