Kaplan-Meier event-free survival curves (A to C) in T allele carriers (continuous curves) and in CC homozygotes (broken curves). Compared to CC homozygotes, significantly fewer T allele carriers were free of any event during the five year follow up and free of MI at both six months and five years. Survival free of UA did not differ significantly between groups. Recurrences (D) occurred sooner in T allele carriers compared to CC homozygotes (horizontal bars indicating median time to recurrence).
