Effect of (A) thrombin, (B) thrombin + abciximab, (C) thrombin + eptifibatide, and (D) thrombin + tirofiban in combination with UFH or LMWH on platelet derived growth factor (PDGF) release. Supernatants were collected from aggregated platelets and PDGF concentrations were determined by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Supernatants were assayed in quadruplicate. Results are mean (SEM) from two experiments.
