“Simple” valves
  • ▸ Isolated aortic valve disease

  • ▸ Isolated mitral valve disease (except parachute or cleft mitral valves)

  • ▸ Isolated tricuspid valve disease (except Ebstein anomaly)

  • ▸ Mild pulmonary valve stenosis

“Simple” shunts
  • ▸ ASDs—small, or repaired without residual problems (e.g. pulmonary hypertension and arrhythmias)

  • ▸ VSDs—small and isolated, or repaired without residual problems

  • ▸ PDAs—small and closure not planned, or closed without residual problems
