Cellular kinetic characteristics (apoptotic index (AI) and mitotic index (MI)) of ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) and infiltrating ductal carcinoma (IDC): in p53+/bcl-2− cases with a stem cell phenotype there is a reduction of both AI (A) and MI (B) in IDC compared with DCIS (p < 0.001).
