 (A) Children on a seesaw: the heavier child pushes the seesaw down, since the torque T generated by the weight F and the lever arm r is bigger than the torque generated by the lighter child. (B) Strabismic eye: the overactive muscle pulls the eye away from the desired orientation, inducing the observed strabismus.
