(A) Representative FACS analysis illustrating the changes in cell cycle distribution of BON cells under control condition (top panel) or treated with TGFβ-1 (10 ng/ml) for five days (bottom panel). (B) TGFβ-1 treatment did not induce apoptosis in BON cells. Cells treated with 10 ng/ml TGFβ-1 for three days were harvested and whole cell extracts were analysed for proteolytic poly(ADP ribose) polymerase (PARP) cleavage. As a positive control, BON cells were serum deprived for three days before PARP analysis was performed.
