(B) No positive staining is noted in parallel sections incubated with no primary antibody. (C) At higher magnification, NOD2 protein is detected in the cytoplasm of lamina propria cells. (D) Immunohistochemical staining using an anti-CD68 antibody verifies the identity of lamina propria monocytes.
