None of the vehicles used (0.1% dimethylsulphoxide for celecoxib and SC-560; 0.1% ethanol for prostaglandin D2) significantly affected short circuit current (or baseline conductance) and so were pooled for presentation in this table. However, statistical analysis was performed using only data from the appropriate vehicle treated rats. *p<0.05 versus the corresponding vehicle treated group; †p<0.01 versus the corresponding control group (n⩾5 per group).
