Growth kinetics of subcutaneous (SC) and orthotopic tumours in C57bl/6 mice. Panc 02 cells (5×105) in 50 µl phosphate buffered saline were administered subcutaneously in the back or near the pancreas (via ultrasound guidance) of eight week old C57BL/6 mice, respectively. Tumour size was determined at three day intervals using a vernier calliper or by ultrasound, respectively. Control mice received injections containing control vehicle on day +2. Results show data from 16–18 mice for the orthotopic model and from six mice in the subcutaneous system. Data are mean (SEM).
