Quantitative assessments of liver fibrosis (A) and Ki67 labelling (B) in rat liver with carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) induced cirrhosis with or without oestradiol (E2) administration. Fibrotic areas were significantly decreased in oestradiol treated cells in comparison with those without oestradiol administration (p<0.05). No significant difference in the Ki67 labelling index was observed between groups with and without oestradiol administration.
