Analysis of leucocyte populations in lungs of Wt and p40 Tg mice infected i.n. for 2 or 5 weeks with M. tuberculosis. The number of leucocytes in lungs of p40 Tg mice was significantly lower than of Wt mice at both time points. Leucocyte differentiation revealed that p40 Tg mice had significantly less Mϕs (2 weeks), lymphocytes (2 weeks), and PMNs (2 and 5 weeks) in their lungs compared to Wt mice.
