Induction of IL-5 expression by low doses of PGE₂. DBA/1 mice were immunized with type II collagen in CFA and draining (inguinal) lymph nodes were removed after 21 days. LNC were cultured in the presence or absence of type II collagen and PGE₂ was added at the doses shown 30 min prior to addition of type II collagen. IFN-γ and IL-5 were measured by ELISA after 72 hr. Data are shown as mean ± SE and are representative of three similar experiments. P-values refer to differences between PGE₂-treated groups and untreated controls.
