Degradation of 32P-labelled plasmid DNA (pDNA) by RAW264.7 cells (a) or resident macrophages (Mφs) (b). The cells were incubated with 32P-labelled pDNA (0·1 µg/ml) at 37° or 4° for 3 hr. The degree of cellular association and degradation of 32P-labelled pDNA was measured by the trichloroacetic acid (TCA) precipitation method.
