Co-culturing monocytes with CD3+ T cells restores CXCR4 expression to that observed with monocytes in PBMC cultures. Purified monocytes were cultured in medium (clear histograms and symbols) or with 10−7 m dexamethasone (filled histograms and symbols) for 48 hr. CXCR4 expression on monocytes in PBMC cultures was significantly increased compared with purified monocytes. Dexamethasone also significantly increased CXCR4 expression.
