The levels of interferon-γ (IFN-γ), interleukin (IL)-2, IL-10 and IL-4 were determined in the supernatants of cell cultures recovered 48 hr poststimulation, as described in the Materials and methods. The data represent mean values ± standard deviation (SD) for three mice and are representative of four independent experiments.
A highly significant difference in the IFN-γ and IL-2 levels (P < 0001) was observed between cultures with or without P5-OVA after stimulation with anti-CD3 and concanavalin A (Con A).
A statistically significant difference was observed in the IL-10 levels (P < 0·05) between cultures with or without P5-OVA after stimulation with anti-CD3. The results have been rounded up or down, as appropriate, to the nearest significance figure.
