The effects of water vapor in the bath gas on the formation of desolvated singly protonated monomers and dimers of glycine (A), alanine (B), and valine (C) from charged liquid droplets. In each case, amino acid solutes were at concentrations of 400 μM in 99.5% methanol–0.5% water solutions containing 0.1% acetic acid. The nozzle and skimmer were at the same potential.
