Kinetics of conidiospore germination for wild-type strain NW131 and ΔmpdA mutant NW306. Spores (2 × 104) were spot inoculated onto slides coated with MM containing 1% (wt/vol) glucose and solidified with agar. Germination was monitored by microscopic examination of the slides.
