The excitation wavelength was 465 nm; emission was monitored at 525 and 530 nm for N-ter and Lys-7 NBD-melittin analogs, respectively. The values in parentheses represent the mean ± SE of at least three independent measurements. The number of photons collected at the peak channel was 10,000.
