Internucleosomal DNA fragmentation with hypoxia (-fold of control). Internucleosomal DNA fragmentation was measured with a Cell Death Detection ELISA after 12 hours and 24 hours exposure to hypoxia. From the absorbance at 405nm, the percent fragmentation in comparison that in controls was calculated according to the formula: DNA fragmentation(-fold of control) = absorbance of treated cells / absorbance of control cells. All points were done duplicate X three times, and the results are average +/- SD. “* “means p<0.05, and “n.s”: means statistically not significant.
