Suppression of the 2-LTR circular form of DNA in mouse cells. Human and mouse cells were infected with equivalent doses of DNase-treated WT or integrase-mutant (D116G) MuLV pseudotype virus (A) or VSV-G pseudotype virus (B). The DNA from the infected cells was subjected to quantitative real-time PCR analysis using a primer pair specific for the 2-LTR circular form of the DNA (upper panels). The nuclear import efficiency was calculated by dividing the 2-LTR products by the late reverse transcription products (lower panels).
