Memory phenotype cells are produced by OT-I cells responding to residual VSV antigen. A total of 2.5 × 10⁵ naive CFSE-labeled OT-I cells were transferred into mice 28 days after i.n. infection with 5 × 10⁴ PFU VSV-Ova or on the same day as infection (control) and then harvested 28 days later. (A) CD11a expression and the CFSE content of donor CD8⁺ CD45.1⁺ cells as assessed by flow cytometry.
