The use of replication-competent viral vector as a carrier for therapeutic gene delivery. The potential advantages are: (1) the dual killing effect caused by viral oncolysis and the therapeutic gene system, for example, enzyme prodrug system; (2) the continuing infection by the replicated viruses to surrounding tumor cells which were not infected initially.
