Figure 1 Chordin immunostaining in representative sections of human normal and osteoarthritic cartilage. Chordin is located preferentially at the superficial zone of normal cartilage, and at the superficial and intermediate zones of osteoarthritic cartilage. No specific staining was detected in the osteoarthritic cartilage immunoadsorbed with a 20‐fold molar excess of the peptide. Arrows indicate the superficial and intermediate zones.
