(A) Sulf1 transcripts were detected in a restricted region of the developing rib (arrow). Sulf2 message was detected along the length of the rib (rb), with the highest levels in the proliferating cartilage. (B) Sulf1 message was highest in the pleural lining (pl) of the lung, with low levels detected in the mesenchyme.
