Effect of exon lengths on RmInt1 splicing in vivo. (A) Schematics of constructs used in the primer extension analysis. (B) Primer extension. Analysis was performed on total RNA (20 μg) from RMO17 cells harboring intron-donor plasmids pBB2.5, pBB20/5H or pBB15/10H. The 97 nt cDNA product corresponds to the excised intron RNA (S) whereas the larger products of 110, 126 and 130 nt are derived from unspliced precursor RNA molecules (Pr).
