Nuclear protein binding to the ABRE is induced by ABA and mannitol. Embryos were cultured for 20 h with or without 100 μm ABA or 20% mannitol. Nuclear extracts were applied to an EMSA with nuclear extract from freshly isolated embryos as a positive control.
