A single labeled astrocytic process (p47-g) contains plasmalemmal immunogold labeling (small closed arrows). This profile, which contains a bundle of cross-sectional fibers (f), is present near a blood vessel lumen (lu) and its associated endothelial cell (edth) and a smooth muscle cell (sm).
