Effect of KGF on the release of the soluble forms of ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 by BEAS-2B under basal and stimulated conditions. Cells were cultured in collagen-coated flasks with different concentrations of KGF for 24 h, under basal or stimulated conditions with TNF (200 UI/ml) or the combination of TNF (50 UI/ml) and IL-4 (10 ng/ml). Culture supernatants were analysed by ELISA. Results for 10 and seven experiments for sICAM-1 and sVCAM-1, respectively, are reported as mean ± s.e.m.
