The levels of interleukin-12 in culture supernatants of allogenic mixed leucocyte reaction (MLR) containing dendritic cells (DCs) from patients with chronic hepatitis C (CHC). Circulating DCs were isolated from patients with CHC before (DCs from HCV RNA⁺ patients) and 4 weeks after the start of antiviral therapy (DCs from HCV RNA^– patients). DCs were cultured in allogenic MLR with T lymphocytes from normal volunteers for 5 days. The levels of interelukin-12 in supernatants of allogenic MLR were measured.
