Gene expression of the chemokines interleukin (IL)-8 (a), macrophage inflammatory protein (MIP)-1α (b), monocyte chemoattractant protein (MCP)-1 (c), regulation activation normal T cell expressed and secreted (RANTES) (d) and epithelial cell-derived neutrophil-activating factor (ENA)-78 (e) in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) from Wegener's granulomatosis (WG) patients (n = 9) and healthy controls (n = 9) in response to stimulation with 1 ng/ml staphylococcal enterotoxin B (SEB) or 10⁻⁶ m methylprednisolone (MP) or both after culturing for 6 h.
