Verification of chlorination by denaturing sodium dodecyl sulphate–polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) electrophoresis. Samples of non-chlorinated CII and chlorinated CII were run on a denaturing SDS-PAGE together with a molecular weight marker.
