At the indicated time points after temperature shift, apoplastic fluid was extracted and benzoylated with benzoyl chloride. The benzoylated samples were separated and quantified for putrescine (A), spermidine (B), and spermine (C) by HPLC. Average values and sds are from three independent experiments each with one individual sample.
