DNA Gel Blot of Representative A. thaliana Accessions.

Genomic DNA was digested with HincII, and the same DNA gel blot was hybridized with a probe derived from ΨSRKA exon 1 (top panel) and a probe corresponding to ΨSCR1 (bottom panel). Both probes were amplified from the Col-0 S locus BAC T6K22 (see Methods). Note that only accessions that exhibit the same ΨSRKA RFLP pattern as Col-0 hybridize with the ΨSCR1 probe. Accessions that exhibit ΨSRKA RFLP patterns different from Col-0 (C24, Sha, and Mt-0) and those that do not hybridize with the ΨSRKA probe (Cvi-0, Bur-0, Ita-0, and Lz-0) do not hybridize with ΨSCR1.
