Prevalence of autotransporters in 295 APEC strains previously classified for virulence based on lethality for 1-day-old chickens (10). Lethality classes are defined as follows: LC1, 50% lethal dose < 108 CFU; LC2, 50% lethal dose ≥ 108 CFU; LC3, not lethal at ≥108 CFU.
