The lines at both the 5′- and 3′-ends denote sequences that have not been represented in order to simplify the illustration. The natural variants are identified. The UGGAGG sequences are indicated in bold, while the guanosine residues located in front of them are underlined. The grey sections define the smaller versions synthesized and tested for binding and their binding percentages are in parentheses.
