Antibiotic resistance phenotypes of selected Str^r/Spt^r doubly resistant recombinants are shown. Agar plates contained 10 μg/ml streptomycin, 10 μg/ml spectinomycin, 8 μg/ml kanamycin, or 10 μg/ml rifampin. A mixture of progeny showed profiles identical to that of the C. jejuni parental strain, which is consistent with unidirectional DNA transfer from H. pylori into C. jejuni.
