For each task, the first row depicts steps in the presentation of stimuli and the second row depicts steps in a correct response. The circle surrounding a pentagon in the last frame of the second row is feedback and would be green because the response was correct, but it would have been red otherwise. The verbal-to-spatial mapping task required one response per trial, whereas the spatial span and name span tasks required that all items be recalled in the presented order.
