MTT assay to measure percent change in viability of vehicle treated primary cortical maintained in either normoxic or hypoxic conditions for (A) 48 and (B) 72 hours. Percent survival is relative to normoxic vehicle treated controls for each time point. Each bar represents the mean ± S.E.M. of 16–18 determinations. Data were analyzed by two-way ANOVA (air conditions by time). Multiple t-test comparisons indicate significant differences (*p<0.05) in percent change viability as a result of hypoxia at a given time.
